Every Sunbrella outdoor cushion at CushionsHub is built to your exact frame dimensions in genuine Sunbrella fabric. Any furniture type, any shape, any size. Every product is custom-made to your exact measurements. Choose your size, fabric, and foam — we build it from scratch and ship free across the USA:
Every outdoor cushion in this collection is available in genuine Sunbrella fabric across the full range of furniture types we cover.
Seat and back cushions for outdoor wicker, rattan, aluminium, and resin weave sofas. Each seat position measured and built individually in a matched Sunbrella colorway. The strongest long-term choice for patio sofas left outside through direct sun and rain across the full outdoor season.
Seat pads for outdoor dining chairs cut to your exact seat width and depth. For tapered chairs that are wider at the front than the back, we cut to the taper. Ties available to keep cushions anchored to the chair frame. Sunbrella handles the daily food contact and outdoor exposure that patio dining chairs see better than any alternative fabric.
For garden benches, patio benches, fire pit bench seating, and outdoor deck benches in any length. Sunbrella is the most practical choice for long outdoor bench cushions left in open positions - the fade resistance and mildew resistance that Sunbrella delivers across a full bench length is difficult to match with any other fabric.
Any size, any shape. For outdoor ottomans used as footrests, extra seating, or both. Built in a matched Sunbrella fabric to the rest of your outdoor arrangement so the full set stays consistent in color and durability across every piece.
Seat and back with hinge alignment built into the cut for adjustable back chaise loungers. The most demanding outdoor cushion application in terms of sustained UV and moisture exposure - which is exactly where Sunbrella's performance advantages matter most.
Any swing width, any seat depth. Ties to keep the cushion anchored during movement. Sunbrella holds its color and structural integrity through years of repeated washing and outdoor exposure - important for porch swings that are used heavily and washed regularly.
Replacement covers for existing outdoor cushion foam in genuine Sunbrella fabric. Measured to the foam insert dimensions. YKK zipper on every cover. The right choice when the foam inside existing outdoor cushions is still firm but the cover has faded or worn through.
Most people have heard the name Sunbrella. Fewer know exactly what makes it different from other outdoor fabrics - and why that difference is worth paying attention to when choosing a cushion that is going to live outside in direct sun and weather for several years.
Sunbrella is made from solution-dyed acrylic. That phrase is worth understanding because it is the specific property that gives Sunbrella its outdoor performance advantage.
Most fabrics are dyed after the fibers are formed. The color sits on the surface of the fiber as a coating. When UV radiation hits the fabric day after day, it breaks down that surface color from the outside in. The fabric fades because the UV is stripping away the color coating.
Sunbrella is different. The color is added to the acrylic while the fiber is still in a liquid state during manufacturing. Color becomes part of the fiber itself rather than a layer applied to the outside. When UV hits the fiber there is no surface coating to strip away - the color is inside the material. That is what gives Sunbrella its genuine fade resistance and why it carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty against color loss under normal outdoor conditions.
This is also why Sunbrella can be cleaned with a diluted bleach solution without damaging the color. On a surface-dyed fabric, bleach would strip the color along with the stain. On a solution-dyed fiber, the color is part of the fiber itself and is not affected by bleach cleaning.
Sunbrella is water repellent - water beads on the surface and runs off rather than soaking into the fabric. It is also mold and mildew resistant, which matters for outdoor cushions in humid climates where mildew growth on fabric surfaces is a constant seasonal problem.
Sunbrella is woven acrylic, which makes it noticeably softer and more comfortable to the touch than many outdoor fabrics. It does not feel synthetic or stiff. Most people describe it as feeling more like premium indoor upholstery than typical patio fabric - which is part of why it has been the benchmark outdoor fabric for outdoor hospitality, marine applications, and residential patio furniture for over sixty years.
The Sunbrella warranty covers color loss and loss of strength under normal outdoor use conditions. It is a manufacturer-backed warranty - not a seller's promise. That warranty travels with the fabric regardless of who sewed it. When a CushionsHub cushion is built in Sunbrella, the fabric warranty applies to the cover regardless of the cushion construction around it.
All three fabrics in our outdoor range are solution-dyed and rated for outdoor use. The differences come down to warranty length, cleaning versatility, and cost. Here is how they compare so you can make the right call for your furniture and budget.
Sunbrella is the standard against which other outdoor fabrics are measured. Solution-dyed acrylic with colour running all the way through each fibre. The result is a fabric that holds its colour in direct sun far longer than surface-dyed alternatives.
5-year manufacturer warranty against colour loss. Resistant to mould and mildew. Water repellent. Safe to clean with a diluted bleach solution, which most outdoor fabrics cannot tolerate without damage. Available in over 100 solid and striped colour options.
The choice for: furniture that stays outside through full sun and seasonal rain, pool and marina environments, commercial settings, and anyone who wants the longest-lasting outdoor fabric available.
Agora is a polyolefin outdoor fabric with a 5-year manufacturer warranty, comparable to Sunbrella in UV resistance and weatherproofing. Lightweight and breathable. Water repellent. Resistant to mould, mildew, and abrasion.
The practical difference is cost: Agora typically runs slightly lower than Sunbrella per cushion, making it the better option when replacing cushions across a full outdoor set with many pieces. The colour range is somewhat narrower than Sunbrella.
The choice for: full patio set replacements where cost per piece matters, any outdoor setting that gets full exposure but where Sunbrella is more than the budget requires.
Gaurika is a solution-dyed outdoor fabric with a 3-year warranty. Well suited to sheltered outdoor seating - covered patios, screened porches, pergolas, and outdoor areas where the furniture is not constantly exposed to direct sun and rain.
The lowest cost per cushion of the three. Resistant to UV and water but not rated for the same level of exposure as Sunbrella or Agora. If your patio furniture is under a cover or in a partially shaded spot for most of the year, Gaurika delivers excellent performance at significantly lower cost.
The choice for: covered or semi-shaded outdoor areas where full sun and rain exposure is the exception rather than the norm.
Sunbrella: 5-year warranty, full sun and rain rated, bleach-cleanable, widest colour range, highest cost per cushion.
Agora: 5-year warranty, full sun and rain rated, good colour range, lower cost per cushion than Sunbrella.
Gaurika: 3-year warranty, best for sheltered outdoor use, lowest cost per cushion of the three.
If you are not sure which applies to your situation, contact our team before ordering. We can advise based on your specific furniture position and how exposed it is through the year.
Sunbrella is sold through many cushion makers. The fabric warranty is consistent across all of them. What differs is how the cushion is built around the fabric.
Every order at CushionsHub is reviewed by a real person before production begins. If a measurement looks off or something seems likely to produce a poor fit, we contact you before the fabric is cut. We do not build to approximate dimensions and hope the cushion lands close enough. Every Sunbrella cushion we make is cut to the exact frame dimensions submitted at checkout.
The foam inside matters as much as the fabric outside. Sunbrella wrapped around low grade foam still compresses and flattens within a couple of seasons. Every CushionsHub outdoor cushion is filled with high density foam or fiberfill chosen for the specific application - seat cushions in high density foam that holds its shape under sustained daily body weight, back cushions in fiberfill for a softer more relaxed lean.
Free shipping on every order across the USA regardless of size or shape.
Always measure the frame, not the old cushion. Old outdoor cushions compress, stretch, and distort over time. Width at the widest point, depth front to back at the centre, preferred thickness. For shaped seats, our How to Measure guide covers every configuration.
Sunbrella is available in a wide range of solid colors, stripes, and patterns. If you are unsure how a color reads in your outdoor space, order swatches before placing your cushion order. Colors shift in different light and the outdoor environment of a patio reads very differently from a screen.
Daily outdoor sofa and lounge seating: high density foam. Outdoor dining chairs: high density foam at 2 to 3 inches to maintain comfortable table height. Back cushions: fiberfill for a softer more relaxed lean.
Ties for dining chairs and porch swing cushions. Antiskid base for stone, concrete, and smooth metal bench surfaces. Piping for a tailored upholstered edge finish.

Unzip the cover before washing. For everyday cleaning, mild soap and warm water with a soft brush. For mildew and tougher outdoor staining, a diluted bleach solution is safe on Sunbrella without affecting the color - this is one of the properties that sets solution-dyed acrylic apart from most outdoor fabrics. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely before reattaching. Do not put Sunbrella covers in a machine dryer as heat can affect the water-resistant finish over time.
For day-to-day upkeep, brushing off surface debris, pollen, and dirt regularly between full washes prevents the buildup that accelerates mildew growth in humid outdoor climates.
Store cushions indoors or use protective covers during the off-season. Sunbrella's performance is exceptional but consistent seasonal storage extends that performance meaningfully - a Sunbrella cushion stored inside between seasons will outlast one that winters outside even in this fabric.

What makes Sunbrella fabric better than standard outdoor fabric?
Sunbrella is solution-dyed, meaning the colour runs all the way through the fibre rather than being printed on the surface. This makes it highly resistant to UV fading even after years of direct sun exposure. It is also water-repellent, resistant to mould and mildew, and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty against fading. Standard outdoor fabrics typically fade noticeably within 1-2 seasons of direct sun.
Are Sunbrella outdoor cushions suitable for use near a pool?
Yes. Sunbrella is water-repellent and resistant to chlorine splashes, making it well suited for poolside use. Pair Sunbrella covers with Dryfast open-cell foam so any water that penetrates the cover drains through the cushion rather than being retained inside. The fabric can also be cleaned with a diluted bleach solution without damage, which is useful for poolside furniture.
Can Sunbrella outdoor cushions be left outside in winter?
Sunbrella fabric can remain outside year-round. However, storing cushions under cover or in a garden storage box during winter significantly extends the life of both the fabric and the foam fill. Even fully weatherproof cushions benefit from being kept dry when not in regular use. Cushions left outside all winter are more prone to moss and mildew growth on the surface.
How do I clean Sunbrella outdoor cushion covers?
For light cleaning, brush off loose dirt and spot clean with mild soap and water using a soft-bristled brush. For a deeper clean, remove the zip-fastening cover and hose it down, then allow to air dry fully before replacing the foam. For stubborn mould or mildew marks, apply a solution of 1 cup bleach per gallon of water with a brush, leave for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
